OVERTON PARK

WELCOME TO OVERTON PARK

OVERTON PARK

Overton Park sits directly south of Tanglewood, along the bluffs above the Trinity. It was part of the L.G. Edwards ranch — founded in 1846 and still running cattle into the 1950s — and it takes its name from Cass Overton Edwards, born on the property in 1851. The family’s Cassco Land Company developed it, and most of the homes went up between 1955 and 1968.

What you get is winding streets, larger lots, and the same mature canopy as Tanglewood, with a mix of original mid-century homes and extensive renovations. The neighborhood association is active, which tends to show in how the place is kept.

Overton Park Elementary serves the area. The Texas Education Agency rated it an A, 94 out of 100, in its 2026 accountability ratings. As anywhere in Fort Worth ISD, confirm the attendance zone for the exact address before making an offer — boundaries split streets, and the district is actively redrawing them.
